One simple relaxation strategy is to follow these 4 simple steps for 10 minutes each day:
- Find a comfortable position, sit quietly and close your eyes.
- Starting at your feet relax your muscles. Work your way up to your head.
- Inhale through your nose and focus on your breathing. Thoughts will try and distract you – as you exhale silently say 'ONE' in your mind. Continue breathing consciously.
- To finish, sit quietly for a few moments and then open your eyes.
